So my nightmare came true.......

    Today my remote stoped working.....Belive it or not. I think Im cursed when it comes to expensive gadgets, because everything Im scared of .....that could go wrong....... will go wrong.....Every time :sweat:.

    I had my GT for 9 days.....Been riding 4-5 of them, avr 15km pr trip.
    So the total amount of km I put on this board is like maximum 60. Its BRAND NEW.

    I have never had any issues, no a singel dropout, and never had problems pairing the remote to the board.....In-till today :(.

    I had a 15-18 km ride last night. and charged the board and remote when I came home like always.

    When I powered up the board, then the remote today it would NOT pair to the board anymore.....I tried 20-30 times...Could only pair it for a split second, before it dropped out again.....

    Then I was making a short video so I could show Evolve UK, and this happened :







    I have NEVER dropped the remote, or crashed the board in ANY way. I have never been in wet places, and have NO ide whats wrong.

    I have tried to re-pair the remote to the board over 50 times now. The longest time before disconnect have been 3-4 seconds.


    Anyone know whats up?

    How can this happen?


    Its so sad...Spending so much money on something thats suppose to be the best. And it last for 4-5 rides :sweat:.



    But this is my luck, if something can go wrong, it will.....Its starting to get frustrating.:triumph::tired_face:


    Anyway.....Email sent to Evolve UK. Praying they can help me fix this fast....Really need my board since I have a ton of videos to shoot next week for my new youtube channel.

    If someone know a easy fix for this please tell me :):thumbsup:-

    That sucks man. I had this same exact issue with my bamboo GT. It turned out my remote was just bad and they gave me a brand new one and it's been perfect sense. They will take care of you, don't even worry about it. Obviously do not ride the board, even when it does pair it's got a mind of its own.

    Yeah It really sucks.....But Im sure your correct, Evolve will help me fix this. But the downtime is soooo painful :D.
    Just hope it will be solved fast...Super happy whit the board otherwise.

    Not going to ride before its solved thats forsure....Have managed to connect 4-5 times, And the throttle just got to full speed by itself. Would be crazy to ride it like this.

    Ha that's exactly what mine would do. You would finally get a connection, but the trigger and board were not in synch at all.

    Evolve UK have already responded to my Email, on a Sunday night. 24/7 customer service, Amazing :thumbsup::).

    This video was just to show Evolve the problem, and from what you said usfdrohead, it seems like I have the same issue like you.
    Do you think its the remote thats the problem?
    Since one wheel stopped a spit second when the other one was still going make me fear something more serious.

    Anyway, Evolve is helping me figure it out now. Lets just pray its an easy fix, whit minimum amount of downtime :).

    That's bad luck Kenneth, hope it gets fixed soon. Mark from Evolve uk is really helpful and super speedy at resolving issues so I'm sure you'll be back on the road again really soon!

    Tough to say, if you know someone wiTh the same remote you can compare with theirs.

    Its beyond crazy, its dangerous and can be deadly.... Good call to not ride the beast, it won't fix itself that's for sure. You hope it does but that's just wishful thinking. Evolve needs to step up their QA testing big time of these boards, no way should the customer be seeing these horrible defects early on like that and in the quantity that we're uncovering. Huge defect count.

    Sadly I live in Benidorm Spain, and the closest one is Tommasy but he lives like 3 hours from me.

    But Andy at Evolve have replied, and is now looking in to it. Guess I get a new remote shipped, and I ship the bad one back.
    Just hope it goes fast, and its solves the issue. So frustrating to finally have this amazing board, and I can`t use it :sweat:

    If Im lucky Ill be riding later this week again :):thumbsup:

    Agree....Im so happy this happened when I was starting up, and not in the middel of a ride.
    Can`t really understand what the issue is. I had over 50km whiteout a singel dropout, then this? So weird.

    Hope they find the problem and solve it for good. The boards are so awesome. But if you cant trust the remote you cant use the board.

    Yeah Both Mark and Andy at Evolve UK have shown some A+ Customer service.
    Im sure Im back to carving around again in no-time :):thumbsup::punch:

    I hope the replacement remote fixes this issue. If it does, I may pick up a spare remote.

    Just for an experiment try it completely away from any wifi or bluetooth including your own phone (put it in airplane mode) drive somewhere quiet if you have to - see if it re-pairs and looks more normal (still swap it out - but try this in the mean time) don't ride it just try it in test mode on its back

    Don´t have a car, only motorcycle. So can´t really take the board and test it. Im sure this have nothing to do whit wifi or Bluetooth interference . I cant connect at all anymore, not even for a split second like I could yesterday.

    Anyway, Andy from Evolve UK is shipping me a new remote on Wednesday, Hope that solves the problem.
    Sending the old back so they can run diagnostics on it.

    Since live in Spain shipping is fast, (they ship it from a wearhouse in Tarifa) So I will probably have it Friday moring :):thumbsup:

    Got a brand new Remote Shipped out from Evolve UK yesterday. :):thumbsup:. And today I woke up thinking there would be no mail before tomorrow at the earliest since its a National Holliday in Spain today :confused:

    But the remote came at 10am this moring, super fast shipping :grinning:, And the timing was perfect. A cloud free, sunny day :cool::sun:.

    I had Best day in ages today :grinning::grinning::grinning::cool: The new Remote paired on first try, and been working perfect all day, had a 27km ride this moring, charged the batterys and took another 24km ride. :punch::grinning:. Wow this board is sooo much fun :cool::ok_hand::metal:. Im having the biggest grin on my face, listening to music and carving around in sunny Spain. This board is changing my whole life. I have both a Car and a Motorcycle, but anything under 15km and I take the board :grinning:. And always the long way home. Hehe.

    So freaking happy whit this buy, Never thought I could have so much fun again. (Whit my clothes on :p) I gave up snowboarding at age 24, And never put my foot on a longboard in my life...Now Im almost 40 and riding the **** out of this board :metal::cool::p.


    Big thanks to Adam at Evolve UK, for super fast and awesome costumer service. Feel really safe bying from you guys. So my spare board is going to be another GT :p:thumbsup:.'

    PS.

    I still have no clue WHY this happened tho. The other remote was 9 days old. Worked perfekt for 4-5 days of riding and then stopped working at all? Really strange. Makes me a bit more careful when riding now.

    Shipping the old back to them, So they can run diagnostics on it.
