Hi guys, I'll be going on a trip soon to Asia and stopping through a few countries in the area and would like to hear some of your experiences with bring your eboards with you on a plane. I don't have a Evolve board yet, so while I wait I'd love to hear any inputs you guy may have. TY

  2. I kept hearing that Evolve boards are not airline friendly, so I emailed Evolve (USA) and they flat out told me that their boards cannot be taken on any airlines.

At the time this bummed me out but I can't say I was surprised because I knew the boards were powerful, and in the past I've tried to fly with an ebike and the airport refused me due to TSA rules on bringing any large powerful batteries.

Don't try to sneak it in either, this is how people have lost their 2k boards. Hell even Casey Neistat lost two Boosted boards to TSA (one in the USA and one in Australia). TSA don't play around.

Here's a video from Evolve showing how you could possibly fly with an evolve board (1:48 min in):

If you ask me this is really a pain to have to ship the battery and or board to your flight destination.
That's why it's better to just buy an additional eboard that is airline friendly.

Besides Evolve boards are very heavy and I wouldn't want to lug a huge one around airports.

Look into the Miles board for airline travel! They have a airline friendly battery (99WH version), and a very small and super light carbon fiber deck:

    Miles Dual

There's also the M1 inboard that is airline friendly but it's pretty heavy too (heavier than Miles but lighter than Evolve):
