I'm curious to know what everyone thinks of the deadman switch on the R2 remote. I find to activate it I have to shift the postion of the remote in my hand using my other hand, because my wristguards have a hard plastic piece that extends into the palm limiting how I can grip the remote (they're my snowboarding guards). I also noticed on my ride to work this morning that it seemed to cut in when I thought I was going faster than the it should (when I slowed down to negotiate my way around busy pedestrian areas). This was probably just me misjudging my speed but it caught me off guard a bit so was slightly annoying.

Weka - I think I am missing something from you post. When you say "I also noticed on my ride to work this morning that it seemed to cut in" what do you mean? The dead man switch as far as I know is just for when you are starting from a stand still. You can deactivate it within the remote menu system or leave it on which is the default from the factory. I find that just pushing the board like a standard board a little gets me enough speed to start that I don't even need to press in the dead man switch to get going. Not sure if this helps but figured I would try. Enjoy.

Hi, I thought that too, but I've found if I slow right down but am still moving at walking pace (when stuck behind a walking pedestrian) that sometimes I have to pull the deadman switch in again to be able to accelerate, like it thinks I've stopped.

And that’s why I turned mine off. More hassle than it’s worth for me
