Curious what kind of range you guys are getting CGT in both AT mode and with street wheels.

I haven't done a complete street test, but with AT wheels, GT mode, pinned and carving about 90% of the ride, I can get almost exactly 10 miles before the board starts to shut off from low voltage. If I let the board sit for a bit, it still thinks it has 20% battery. With that, I think the battery percentage readout on the board is directly tied to real time voltage which makes it a bit useless IMO.

I got 33kms with 8 inch wheels with CGT. Riding at up to 36kmh. Mostly flat around river. Still day.

That's pretty huge. I wonder why your range Is so much better. Did you see an improvement with the larger ATs? Where did you get the tires?

Depending how many hills and how I ride I get between 15-20 miles on AT. If I Go hard and take a few decent hills it drops to 10.

Street always over 20miles even hammering the thing lol. Personally best was 31 miles but that was pretty flat most way.

What mode your in has a massive difference too. GT burns through the battery in no time, I tend to use fast most of the time as then you get decent range and still speed is good.

RE modes and distance. I find if you feather the trigger in GT mode it is the same as any other mode for distance. You gotta control yourself Andy! I always just leave it in GT. The current to the motors is only different during acceleration. Full GT accelerating from start uses about 1.5 the current of full accelerating in Fast. But once you get up to speed they use the same current so should go the same distance if you dont acclerate hard.

how are you meant to control yourself with that much power readily available! :p Its too tempting in GT mode to accelerate hard ha ha

This is awesome feedback guys. It is indeed tough to not want to accelerate hard when in GT mode. I'll have to ride lightly and see how my range is affected.

With AT setup I got 12.5 miles in GT mode recently, riding pretty much flat out on a flat hard surface in windy conditions, 50% of the time with the wind behind me and 50% with the wind against me - I had 25% battery showing on the remote (with no load) when I finished, I was pretty pleased with that...

It doesn't count when you attach a sail to it and convert it to a surfboard to trick the GPS for part of your journey :p

I wondered why I was getting some funny looks

There are many factors that affect range:

    - Surface (hard/soft, flat/hills)
    - Tire pressure. I prefer 4.2 bar in tarmac and a bit lower in gravel
    - Rider weigth (me 85 kg / 187 lbs)
    - Air temperature
    - Riding style
    - Wind speed and direction

Below is some statistics from my rides with CGT-AT in mixed environments. We have a cold weather now. Lowest temp was -2C.
I will probably get to 20+ km but that will be a boring ride :)

Holy stats Batman! Do you track all your ride data manually?

That's 61psi for any other brits wondering ;)

Yes, spreadsheet magic. The science view of longboarding :)
