Can this be purchased somewhere else other than evolve?

Is the motor mount under warranty? Mine broke my 2nd week during my 3 ride. Evolve is wanting to charge me for this. My first electric skateboard and only riding side walk and bike path. AT wheels were wobbly so I shipped that back to them, they’re coming off like it isn’t a problem and that I may have to pay for that too... ugh!! Feels like they’re nicle and diming me.

Concerning, Ive had issues with the trucks - in particular the base plates, never the mounts though

Did evolve cover you or did you have to come out of your pocket?

  5. Hard to believe that motor mount just snapped like that.... I don’t blame them for being suspicious

“Just snapped” of course not but what I mean is that the motor plate broke under none strenuous conditions. I road it as it’s meant to be road using my 107mm street wheels. My wheels were causing friction making the belt rub. When i checked a little closer i saw a line going through the motor plate, took the entire wheel and gear off, turned out to be cracked all the way through. it broke on my 3rd time using it. This is my first electric skateboard, so no where near pushing the limits of the board.

Well the first was great it last just over twelve months, then the second one lastest two and a half months and the third just bent out (cracks all along it) within 5 weeks.
Just decided to find tougher equipment to replace parts with.. love the board, but Im very hard on everything i own haha

I ordered the new Gen 3 motor plates, i hope they are compatible with my GTX.
Because they look different, and there was no description of the part on evolves website.

Yep you got the right one. I purchased 4, while replacing my broken one I notice the other side is bent as well... ugh! So I’m down to two new motor plates. I need to get two more as standby Incase they break again soon.

    Wldcohso,
    4 of them ?!!.. lol
Are the new motor plates stronger?
I noticed that these ones are made out of low strength aluminum (cheap material). Im a welder so i know my metals.

And that’s why I purchased 4 lol... they aren’t that durable at all but why they charge 30 per motor plate.. ugh! Ridiculous... it should be 30 for a set of two because of how cheaply they’re made. I searched around but couldn’t find something comparable, more durable and cost a little less.

My right side motor plate broke in the same area! Thinking it’s the weakest part of the plate because it holds most of the weight when we ride our board. I hadn’t road it much at all but both sides were bent.

Don't put unnecessary torque on the motors(by holding the board back to do burnouts)
